Just read a copy of last week’s Gazette. Bah! Can’t believe what these tabloids are telling the folks back home. They don’t mention how we’re low on ammo and supplies. Nor how masked men with spears and battle chants emerge from the tall grass whenever we go on patrol. Or that time Port Des Mines itself was besieged by arrows in the middle of a damn thunderstorm, as though we were under attack by the lightning god himself.
If you’re reading this, Mr Le Corre, why don’t you try writing about the facts for one, like how your newspaper’s as useful as a mosquito net in a raging monsoon?
